Corey Graves was MIA from this week’s NXT, but there’s a good reason for it—he was busy calling the action on Raw instead.
With WWE’s European tour in full swing, Graves was tapped to fill in for Pat McAfee on Monday Night Raw alongside Michael Cole in Brussels, Belgium. That left NXT short one commentator, forcing Vic Joseph and Booker T to handle the desk on their own for the night.
The switch-up comes after Graves publicly vented his frustrations over being moved to NXT following WWE’s January commentary shake-up. He was initially shuffled over to the Tuesday night show alongside Vic Joseph and Booker T, a move he wasn’t exactly thrilled about. But despite that, he’s been showing up for work—until now.
With Graves handling duties on Raw, it remains to be seen if he’ll be back on NXT next week or if this signals a bigger shift for the commentary teams moving forward.
