Bron Breakker shocked fans on RAW when he turned on Seth Rollins — but that major move wasn’t always in the cards. In fact, WWE apparently didn’t plan to split Breakker from his current path until next year.
The unexpected alliance between Breakker, Bronson Reed, and Paul Heyman appears to be the result of a creative pivot. Rollins’ reported shoulder injury may have accelerated plans, pushing Breakker into a top storyline much sooner than anticipated. According to Fightful Select, the turn was not something WWE had planned for this early.
“WWE had Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed attack Rollins today, which was hinted to us was a heavy creative pivot, without being explicitly stated.”
One internal source even confirmed that this storyline wasn’t supposed to start until 2026, echoing earlier rumblings from Ibou of Self Made PW.
“They’d heard that a Bron Breakker split originally wasn’t planned or in the cards until next year.”
While Breakker’s push has been gaining momentum, this sudden move into a heel role — and aligning with Heyman — could change the trajectory of his entire main roster run. Whether it’s the right time or a rushed elevation remains to be seen.
