WWE NXT’s long-awaited return to Full Sail University has already sold out. The September 16 episode of NXT from Full Sail Live in Winter Park, Florida will be a “One Night Only” special, airing live on The CW Network and Netflix.

Tickets for the event ranged from $52.75 to $78.50, and fans scooped them up quickly to see NXT return to its original home for the first time in nearly five years.

Full Sail University will celebrate the homecoming with a full day of events prior to the show. Students will attend guest lectures and presentations from NXT Superstars and WWE’s production team. Alumni who helped shape NXT broadcasts over the years will also be honored, with WWE and Full Sail announcing a new scholarship during the festivities.

NXT first began taping out of Full Sail in May 2012, and the venue played host to countless iconic moments, including a season of Tough Enough. WWE regularly partnered with the school, giving students hands-on production experience at live events.

The brand left Full Sail in Fall 2020, moving to the WWE Performance Center during the COVID-19 pandemic, where tapings have remained since. This marks the first time WWE has returned to Full Sail since then, though TNA Wrestling did hold tapings at the venue earlier this year.

Do you think WWE should bring NXT back to Full Sail more often, or is this one-off return enough? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
