The WWE NXT women’s roster may want to start checking their passport expiration dates—because international travel is in their future.
According to Wrestling Observer’s Bryan Alvarez, the current plan calls for female NXT talent to begin touring in Japan in 2026, following the path laid out by the NXT men’s roster this past year.
While Alvarez didn’t confirm if the women would be working specifically with Pro Wrestling NOAH, Marigold, or a combination of both, the move signals WWE’s growing interest in giving its developmental talent international exposure. This would mirror the ongoing relationship between WWE and NOAH, which has seen notable crossovers in recent years.
The WWE-NOAH partnership has already led to appearances from names like Shinsuke Nakamura, AJ Styles, and Omos—who even held the GHC Tag Team Championships during his stint. NXT talent has also seen an expanded presence in Japan lately, with several breakout debuts and tournament entries.
Hank Walker and Tank Ledger are currently set to challenge for the GHC Tag Team Titles on November 8 at Korakuen Hall, following a recent win over Alpha Wolf and Dragon Bane. Charlie Dempsey and Harlem Lewis made their NOAH debuts last month, while Josh Briggs and Tavion Heights competed in the summer’s N1 Victory tournament.
On the flip side, NOAH’s Yoshiki Inamura had a solid run in WWE NXT, making his debut last November and competing in the brand through August.
With Japan’s women’s wrestling scene red hot and WWE eager to elevate its next generation of stars, 2026 could be the year the NXT women go global.
