The September 30, 2025 edition of WWE NXT featured a loaded card that kept fans engaged from start to finish. This included Mustafa Ali making his shocking return to the show after time away from the brand. Despite the buzz around his comeback, the show saw a drop in viewership.
According to Programming Insider, the September 30, 2025 edition of WWE NXT on the CW Network averaged 572,000 viewers, down from the 617,000 viewers recorded on September 23, 2025. In the P18–49 demographic, NXT scored a 0.10 rating, a decline from last week’s 0.12 rating.

The September 30 edition of NXT saw Mustafa Ali making his unexpected return as he challenged Ethan Page for the NXT North American Championship for next week’s show.
The participants for the men’s and women’s elimination tag team matches between NXT and TNA were also determined on the show, as they will all face each other at NXT ShowDown next week.
