The May 6, 2025, episode of WWE NXT delivered another dynamic night of in-ring action and storyline development as the brand builds toward NXT Battleground. Despite the return of Elijah and a standout main event featuring Jordynne Grace and Giulia, the show saw a modest dip in viewership.

According to Programming Insider, WWE NXT drew 652,000 viewers on The CW, a drop (-3.3%) from the 674,000 viewers it attracted on April 29. In the 18–49 demographic, the show earned a 0.14 rating, also slightly down (-6.7%) from last week’s 0.15.

The May 6th edition of NXT saw Elijah making his return to WWE television for the first time in years as he competed in the battle royal in order to determine the #1 contender for Oba Femi’s NXT Championship.

Jordynne Grace also had a tremendous match against Giulia and beat her to become the #1 contender for Stephanie Vaquer’s NXT Women’s Championship. This and many other things happened that kept fans engaged throughout the night.
