The August 5, 2025 edition of NXT featured tons of solid moments from top to bottom that entertained fans. This included Joe Hendry making his surprise return during the show. In fact, the show actually saw an increase in viewership as well.
According to Programming Insider, NXT averaged 740,000 viewers on the USA Network, up from 675,000 on July 29—a 9.6% increase. The P18–49 demographic held steady with a 0.16 rating week over week.

The August 5th edition of NXT saw Joe Hendry making his shocking return during the show, where he appeared out of a fridge and had a solid moment with Wren Sinclair.
Moose also sent a message to Trick Williams during the show, which was something fans didn’t expect at all. This and many other moments took place throughout the night.
