Injuries can happen at any given moment in the world of professional wrestling and unfortunately, it appears that an NXT star suffered an ACL injury and underwent surgery for the same.
NXT star Ariana Bennett took to Twitter and revealed that she recently faced a major setback after tearing her ACL. She revealed it actually happened during the dancing video she posted weeks ago, and her surgery had already been scheduled for a later date. Surprisingly, she didn’t feel any pain when it happened and kept practicing like nothing was wrong, only to find out afterwards that it was a full tear.
Ariana said she chose to wait until after her surgery to update her followers so she could protect her mental health. At first it was a lot to take in, but through prayer she realized that God is always working, even when it’s hard to see.
Bennett explained that staying lighthearted and finding reasons to laugh has helped her get through the tough moments, calling this just one chapter in her story. Right now she’s focused on healing, trusting the process, and coming back stronger.
“Life threw a curveball a few weeks ago…I tore my ACL. And yes it was torn in that dancing video, my surgery was scheduled for a later date. Funny thing is, I didn’t even feel pain when it happened. I kept practicing like nothing was wrong. Found out later it was a full tear. To protect my mental, I wanted to wait until after surgery to update my followers. At first it was a lot to process, until I started praying and realized God is always working…even when I can’t see it. 🙏🏾 Keeping things fun and lighthearted has helped me get through the hard times. Laughter really is medicine. This is just one chapter in the story. Right now, it’s about healing, trusting the process, and coming back stronger—mind, body, and spirit. Thank you for all the love, support, and prayers. I’ll keep y’all posted on the comeback. 💪🏾❤️”
Bennett last competed during an NXT live event back on April 26 this year, where she and Chantel Monroe lost to Carlee Bright and Kendal Grey in a tag team match. Regardless, we wish Bennett all the best and pray she makes a quick recovery so that she can go back to doing what she loves the most.
