Injuries are commonplace in the world of professional wrestling and WWE is no exception, as there have been injuries there lately. Unfortunately, it appears that an NXT star might be the latest WWE name to have suffered an injury.
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez talked about what happened Hank and Tank getting attacked during the June 24th edition of NXT. He noted how Tank was shown lying on the ground, selling the attack heavily.
Alvarez Believes Tank might be the latest NXT wrestler to get injured. Alvarez added that since Tank is one of the NXT tag team champions, it’s possible the scene was just part of a storyline to set up a future tag team title match.
However, the way it played out made it seem like a legitimate injury. Alvarez also pointed out that something similar happened on Monday Night Raw with Chad Gable, who now requires surgery. He wished the best for both performers and hoped everything turns out okay.
“Last night on NXT, they did the famous phantom attack on Hank & Tank, and Tank was on the ground really selling it. I believe Tank might be the latest in a long string of NXT performers getting injured. Tank’s one half of the tag team champions. It might have just been an angle to set up a tag team title match, but man, they were really building it up like that guy was hurt. And they just did it Monday with Chad Gable, and Gable needs surgery, so all the best to those guys—hope everything is alright.”
Do you think the Hank & Tank attack was part of a storyline, or could it be another unfortunate injury? Sound off in the comments.
