WWE NXT taped the July 1, 2025 episode in advance, and now the results for the July 1 show are out — giving fans a sneak peek at what’s coming before it hits the CW Network.
The tapings took place on June 24 from the WWE Performance Center, and a few big names walked away with statement victories. Here’s what went down:
Joe Hendry defeated Wes Lee. Tyson DuPont and Tyriek Igwe tried to help Wes, but Mike Santana ran out to stop them. Joe pinned Wes shortly after.
Some fans online noticed Joe Hendry’s reaction during the post-match segment with Trick Williams on 6/24 wasn’t as loud as expected. However, Joe got a much louder reaction for his entrance in this match. Their match was taped first, while the run-in after Trick’s match happened about an hour later.
Myles Borne defeated Lexis King. Lexis wore short tights instead of his usual long gear. Myles won with a standing dropkick followed by a ZigZag.
Lainey Reid defeated Thea Hail. Lainey tried to cheat by putting her feet on the ropes, but the referee caught her. Later, Lainey pinned Thea using the bottom rope for leverage without the ref seeing.
Luca Crusafino called out Tony D’Angelo to talk about the Heritage Cup. Stacks came out too. After trading words, Luca attacked Tony, then laid out Stacks as well. Luca said he’s only on his own side and left.
Yoshiki Inamura defeated Jasper Troy to become the #1 contender for the NXT Title at The Great American Bash. After the match, Je’Von Evans hit Jasper with a springboard cutter. Oba Femi came to the entrance and exchanged words with Yoshiki as Je’Von stood tall in the ring.
Izzi Dame & Tatum Paxley (with Niko Vance and Shawn Spears) defeated Sol Ruca and Zaria. Zaria accidentally speared Sol after Tatum moved Izzi out of the way. Izzi hit a Sky High on Sol for the win. After the match, Niko lifted Tatum onto his shoulders as The Culling stood tall.
Jordynne Grace talked about winning the #1 contender spot and her journey to NXT. Fatal Influence interrupted. After exchanging words, Jordynne attacked them but got overwhelmed. Blake Monroe ran out to help her clear the ring. NXT GM Ava announced that at The Great American Bash, Blake Monroe and Jordynne Grace will team up to face Fallon Henley and Jacy Jayne.
Things are definitely heating up on NXT, and with these results locked in, you can bet the fallout is going to be wild. Joe Hendry’s win, Inamura’s big moment, and Lainey Reid’s upset over Thea Hail could seriously shake the brand in the weeks to come.
