The January 28th episode of WWE NXT is creating a lot of hype as WWE gears up to build momentum with an exciting lineup of matches and segments. Fans can look forward to an action-packed and engaging show this week.
NXT Women’s North American Championship: Fallon Henley (c) vs. Shotzi
Fallon Henley will defend her NXT Women’s North American Championship against Shotzi this week on NXT. The match was set after Shotzi won a No. 1 contenders match against Stephanie Vaquer on the January 14th episode. Their feud has been building for quite a while now, so we’ll have to see if Shotzi will be able to pull off the upset and become the new NXT Women’s North American Champion.
WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship: Bianca Belair & Naomi (c) vs. Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson (Meta-Four)
Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson earned a shot at the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship after defeating Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn in a No. 1 contenders match on the January 14th episode of NXT. They will now face Bianca Belair and Naomi on this week’s episode, in what’s expected to be a very solid match.
Bayley & Giulia vs. Roxanne Perez & Cora Jade
Bayley has been involved in a heated feud with former NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez for the past few weeks. Their confrontation last week saw Giulia and Cora Jade getting involved as well. Bayley and Giulia will now face off against Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade in tag team action, so it’ll be interesting to see who will come out on top in the bout.
The Grayson Waller Effect Talk Show
Austin Theory and Grayson Waller will host the “Grayson Waller Effect” talk show this week in Theory’s hometown of Atlanta. The special guest will be the newly crowned NXT Champion Oba Femi and it’s certain the segment will be one worth watching.
Other Matches
Trick Williams will face off against Wes Lee in singles competition, stemming from a physical confrontation they had during a previous episode of NXT. Finally, Ethan Page will go up against veteran Cedric Alexander in a rematch from their earlier match on the December 31st episode of NXT. We’ll have to see if the outcome will be different this time around.
