As WWE NXT Deadline rolled on, officials made a major announcement during the show—NXT New Year’s Evil is officially set for Tuesday, January 6, and will air as a special TV broadcast on The CW Network.

New Year’s Evil has become a signature kickoff event for WWE’s developmental brand, and this marks the first time the special will air on broadcast TV following NXT’s move to The CW.

Traditionally, the show features marquee title matches, including the NXT Championship and NXT Women’s Championship bouts. The challengers for those matches are typically decided at Deadline, with the winners of the Iron Survivor Challenge earning the right to face the champions at New Year’s Evil.

No official matches have been confirmed just yet, but with Deadline now wrapped, announcements are expected soon. Ringside News will provide updates once the full card is locked in.
