The May 6 episode of WWE NXT on The CW Network featured a match between Jordynne Grace and Giulia that saw its duration unexpectedly shortened.

According to Fightful Select, “some time was cut from it mid-match,” but no official reason has been confirmed.

The bout included two frightening bumps that had those backstage on edge. The first incident involved Giulia mistakenly tucking her chin during a move where she wasn’t supposed to—a miscommunication compared to the infamous Styles Clash confusion. The second scare occurred when Grace took a rough landing, leading to audible reactions backstage.

While it’s unclear if the bumps were the reason for the time cut, Fightful’s report noted that NXT officials made it clear they don’t want such high-risk spots becoming routine. “It was made pretty clear that NXT does not want to normalize bumps like that,” a source said.
