WWE made the tough call to cut a list of names over the past 24 hours, and there is a unique reason behind each of them. Blair Davenport never really had much of a chance to show her stuff on the main roster after her NXT call-up, and now she is gone.

Blair Davenport’s WWE release came as a surprise to some fans. She has since broken her silence following her firing.

Sean Ross Sapp reported on Fightful Select that Blair Davenport’s name came up several months ago, and there were plans to use her more often. Sadly, those creative plans never came to fruition.

Blair Davenport was a topic of conversation after reports elsewhere months ago emerged that she was planned to be used more, Fightful asked about Davenport’s status in November, December and early January, and were told that she hadn’t been discussed for creative plans.

It was further reported that WWE had an idea for Blair Davenport to join Chelsea Green and Piper Niven’s act. She would have been alongside Piper in a Secret Service type role.

“Not until around the Royal Rumble, when we asked about her speaking in the background with Piper Niven was a direction given. We’re told that recently she was brought to TV and pitched on the idea of joining Chelsea Green and Piper Niven’s group. It got as far as a Secret Service outfit being prepared, but had been delayed.”

Blair Davenport was once Bea Priestley on the indies, and she even used that name in AEW. She was released by AEW when she was not able to make shows during the pandemic, because she was stuck in the UK.

We will have to see what Blair Davenport is able to do next. She still has a ton of potential, and it wouldn’t be hard for her to find work, especially in her old stomping grounds in Europe.

Ringside News will have much more from this topic, and many more. We will also keep our eyes peeled for more released names, and you can check out the list, so far, below:
