Dave Meltzer reported in the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that there were plans for Rey Mysterio to start with MLW to work a tag program against Pentagon Jr. & Fenix starting next month. Those plans got nixed once the negotiations between WWE and Mysterio got serious.
Speaking of Mysterio, the August 12th show will be his last one for New Japan. Meltzer mentioned that WWE didn’t want him doing this show either.
