WWE is set to hold the Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia, and fans are excited to see the two Royal Rumble matches. The men and women will both get a spotlight, and they had ample time to plan out the matches.
It takes a lot of coordination to map out a Royal Rumble match. Pat Patterson made it an artform during his time with the company, and it usually included a chance for everyone to get together for a big rehearsal. This year’s event in Saudi Arabia is no different, because they had to plan out the matches.
Sean Ross Sapp reported on Fightful Select that, as with most years in the past, rehearsals were held throughout the end of the week. The location also gave the company a little bit of a different vibe when it came to mapping out the match.
It was further noted that “WWE sources said they felt more comfortable with the privacy associated with this year’s shows without autograph hounds around as much.” That is certainly interesting, but it also gives us an idea how Saudi Arabia may be a bit more locked down than in the United States.
WWE Super fan Green Shirt Guy is also in Saudi Arabia for the Royal Rumble. He was also signing autographs during SmackDown, so he can pick up the slack for autographs if the WWE Superstars are busy.
The 2026 Royal Rumble took place at Riyadh Season Stadium in the King Abdullah Financial District in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. We’ve already got a few ideas what to expect, and we will cover every bit of the action here at Ringside News.
