The idea of WrestleMania heading to Saudi Arabia isn’t just internet talk — it’s being seriously discussed behind closed doors.

According to Dave Meltzer on the August 7, 2025 episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, there have been real internal conversations about WWE potentially holding two WrestleManias in the same year, with one of them taking place in Saudi Arabia.

The discussion came up as Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez analyzed Saudi Arabia’s expanding grip on the combat sports and entertainment world, especially under the leadership of Turki Alalshikh — the powerful figure behind the country’s blockbuster boxing cards and entertainment deals. Meltzer revealed that Alalshikh may already have something major locked in with WWE.

“They will be running the boxing business for Turki Alalshikh… who, by the way, is pushing very hard for WrestleMania and in fact today made a tweet — which may not refer to WrestleMania, but many people believe does — saying that ‘I have just reached a deal for a giant entertainment thing to come to Saudi Arabia. I cannot announce it yet.’”

That one tweet set off immediate speculation, and Meltzer made it clear — while it’s not a done deal, it’s very much alive behind the scenes.

“Many people have thought that that may be WrestleMania. So whether it’s two WrestleManias in one year or it is the WrestleMania… don’t know.”

And here’s the real kicker: this wouldn’t just be a showcase event like Crown Jewel or Elimination Chamber — we’re talking about WWE’s biggest event of the year potentially going overseas.

“There absolutely was talk of the idea of two WrestleManias in one year — one for Saudi Arabia and one for outside of Saudi Arabia.”

If WWE follows through, it would be the first time in the company’s history that WrestleMania is held more than once in a calendar year — and a major statement about Saudi Arabia’s influence on the global wrestling landscape.

With TKO continuing to secure massive revenue through their long-term partnership with the Saudi government, the possibility of a Saudi-hosted WrestleMania may just be the next logical (and lucrative) step.
