TNA President Carlos Silva just dropped a surprising revelation—WWE isn’t just working with TNA, they’re actually going out of their way to help them look good on TV.
During an interview on Busted Open Radio, Silva was asked why the TNA and WWE NXT partnership has been so effective. He made it clear this isn’t just a talent exchange. WWE has been actively making creative adjustments on their own shows to support TNA’s presentation.
“We’ve had a lot of moving pieces and most everyone’s like, ‘Let’s give it a try,’ or, ‘Let’s give it a try but let’s make this change or that change.’ And usually those changes are, are sometimes coming from the other organization to help — like to help us look better. And so it’s not hard to say, ‘Sure, sounds good, guys. Let’s make it happen on Tuesday night.’”
Silva described the collaboration as seamless, with open lines of communication across both sides. He credited key figures like Shawn Michaels, Johnny Russo, and Paul Levesque (Triple H) for fostering the kind of environment where both promotions win.
This comes as AJ Styles is set to return to TNA at Slammiversary, and fans have started speculating that he could challenge Trick Williams for the TNA World Championship at Bound for Glory. According to Silva, they waited to announce Styles’ return until logistics were locked down, ensuring clarity for fans who might’ve confused him with AJ Francis.
The working relationship between WWE and TNA has already opened doors, and now it looks like WWE is actively boosting TNA’s presentation for maximum impact.
