WWE is pulling out all the stops as the countdown begins for Saturday Night’s Main Event XLII — and the stars are already pouring into Washington, D.C.
According to PWInsider, several WWE Superstars and legends were spotted in the city on Friday, a day before John Cena steps into the ring for the final match of his career. Those in town are taking part in community outreach and media appearances ahead of the event.
Among the big names already seen on-site are WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Maxxine, Joe Hendry, Rey Fenix, Otis, and World Tag Team Champion AJ Styles. WWE Hall of Famers Mark Henry and Booker T are also expected to be in attendance, adding even more star power to an already stacked lineup.
And in case there was any doubt, John Cena himself confirmed his spot in the main event earlier today. He’ll face GUNTHER in what’s being billed as his retirement match.
With legends, champions, and top stars converging in the nation’s capital, this event is shaping up to be one for the history books.
Saturday Night’s Main Event XLII will be broadcast live on Saturday, December 13, from the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., with a scheduled start time of 8:00 PM ET / 5:00 PM PT. The show will stream exclusively on Peacock in the United States (Premium subscription required), and on Netflix for international viewers. As a reminder, Ringside News will have live play-by-play of the event.
