There has been internal discussion within WWE about the status of its upcoming events in Saudi Arabia, though nothing has been cancelled and no decisions have been made.

According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer, company officials have recently talked about the situation surrounding WWE’s remaining premium live events scheduled in Saudi Arabia for 2026 as well as the long-term plan for WrestleMania 43 in Riyadh in 2027. The discussions are reportedly taking place as tensions continue in the Middle East.

Alvarez made it clear that the conversations are simply internal discussions about the situation rather than any confirmed changes to WWE’s schedule. He also stressed that no events have been cancelled and nothing has officially changed regarding WWE’s plans in the region.

WWE already held its first Saudi Arabia event of 2026 earlier this year when the company staged the Royal Rumble in Riyadh on January 31. The show marked the first of three planned premium live events in the country this year, with two more currently scheduled for May and November.

Looking further ahead, WWE is also planning to bring WrestleMania to Saudi Arabia in 2027. If it moves forward as planned, WrestleMania 43 would mark the first time the company’s flagship event has taken place outside of North America.

The Saudi Arabia partnership has been extremely lucrative for WWE. Under the company’s deal with the Saudi General Entertainment Authority, each event is believed to generate roughly $55 million in revenue, with the Royal Rumble reportedly valued even higher. The agreement between WWE and Saudi Arabia began in 2018 and currently runs through at least 2027.

Since the partnership started, WWE has already held 14 events in Saudi Arabia, including the Royal Rumble earlier this year. With the next event currently planned for May, it remains to be seen whether the internal discussions lead to any changes in WWE’s Saudi Arabia schedule or if the shows will proceed as planned.

What do you think WWE should do regarding its upcoming Saudi Arabia events? Should the company move forward with the schedule or consider relocating the shows? Let us know your thoughts and share your feedback in the comments.
