The road to crown WWE’s first-ever I.D. Champions is heating up — and now we know the opening match that’s kicking it off.

On Wednesday night, WWE announced the first official matchup in the WWE I.D. Men’s Championship Tournament — and it’s going down during WrestleMania 41 Week.

“The first match has been signed for FSW Vegas presents the ID Tournament on April 18th in Las Vegas,” WWE’s official I.D. X account shared. “After what we just saw on WWE EVOLVE, it’ll be Ice Williams vs. Brad Baylor in a WWE I.D. Title Tournament opening round match!”

The bout is set to take place at the FSW Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on Friday, April 18. It’s just one of several matches expected during the jam-packed WrestleMania week.

The tournament isn’t just limited to FSW — WWE I.D. tournament action is also confirmed for GCW: The Collective at The Palms in Vegas on April 16. WWE is clearly integrating the I.D. tournament with indie-heavy WrestleMania week events, giving fresh faces a spotlight on the biggest wrestling stage of the year.

Other names announced for the tournament include:

  • Sean Legacy
  • Zayda Steel
  • Ice Williams
  • Jackson Drake
  • Brad Baylor
  • Ricky Smokes
  • Zara Zakher
  • Cappuccino Jones

With this stacked mix of breakout talent, the WWE I.D. title tournament is shaping up to be a proving ground for the future of WWE’s next-gen roster. Fans attending WrestleMania 41 weekend in Vegas will be getting a front-row seat to history in the making.
