Ava is about to get a serious push in WWE. The real-life daughter of The Rock, whose real name is Simone Johnson, has been making waves as NXT’s General Manager, but now WWE is reportedly gearing up to feature her even more prominently.
According to WrestleVotes Radio, WWE is putting plans in motion to elevate Ava’s role on TV, including merchandise and character ties to her father.
“Creative has begun putting plans in motion for NXT General Manager and, of course, real-life daughter of The Rock, Ava, to be featured more prominently on TV, as well as have merchandise and character ties to her father, alluding to his final boss persona,” the report stated. “We are told plans could include her playing off the final boss character on TV as a way to raise her importance. Ava, from all accounts, is well-liked and could have a big future with the company.”
Ava signed with WWE in 2020 and made her in-ring debut at Stand & Deliver 2023 as part of Schism, before transitioning into her current NXT GM role. She even had a backstage segment with The Rock and Ethan Page during an episode of NXT last month, fueling speculation about what’s next for her.
Ava is about to step out of her father’s shadow and into the spotlight as WWE gears up to make her a bigger presence on TV. With creative plans in motion and possible ties to The Rock’s “Final Boss” persona, it’s clear the company sees big things in her future. Whether she embraces her family legacy or blazes her own trail, Ava’s rise in WWE is one to watch.
