Alexa Bliss was expected to make her long-awaited WWE return, but it looks like fans will have to wait even longer. Despite previous rumors about her comeback, WWE has put all creative plans for Bliss on hold indefinitely with no clear timeline for her return.

PWInsider reports that Bliss was originally set to return a few weeks ago on Raw in San Jose, with a storyline that would have tied her into The Wyatt Sicks faction. However, before the show, WWE creative was told to scrap all plans for Bliss.

The Wyatt Sicks were later moved to SmackDown, but they still haven’t debuted, and now, WWE’s creative direction for the faction is completely separate from Bliss.

According to sources, the decision to halt her return had nothing to do with creative issues, and Bliss was fully ready to make her comeback. Some believe it could be a contract-related issue, though that hasn’t been confirmed. She is currently under an older WWE deal from before she took time off to have her first child.

For fans hoping to see Bliss return as a Royal Rumble surprise, that doesn’t seem to be happening either. It’s being said that she is not included in any creative pitches for the Women’s Royal Rumble match.

Alexa Bliss was supposed to be back in the mix, but now her WWE return is completely up in the air. Whether it’s a contract situation or something else behind the scenes, WWE has pumped the brakes, and there’s no telling when—or if—she’ll be back anytime soon. Fans waiting for a surprise Royal Rumble moment are out of luck, but with WrestleMania season heating up, anything can happen.

Do you think Bliss will make her way back to WWE soon, or is there more to the story? Drop your thoughts in the comments!
