WWE prides themselves on live broadcasts, because it offers an organic element that you can’t replicate with a taped show. Rhea Ripley knows all about what can happen when there are no re-shoots, and that means WWE’s production truck is also ready to hit the censor button.

During the December 12 episode of WWE SmackDown, the whole night wrapped up with a big mixed tag team match. The Terror Twins of Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest took on Aleister Black and Zelina Vega in the main event.

This match was fierce, as neither team wanted to give up an inch. They stretched through a commercial break, but then once we returned to the show, fans noticed the screen blacked out.

This sudden screen censorship had all the fingerprints of a wardrobe malfunction. Rhea Ripley was charging into the turnbuckle during this moment of blackness as well, and she bounced off just as fans regained the picture. In the end, the Terror Twins were able to win and end the night in celebration.

If this was a slip of some kind, it was fixed in a hurry. Either way, WWE certainly has their finger hovering over the delay button to nix any accidental elements that might not come across as family friendly.

What’s your take on this censorship from WWE? Do you think that they censor some things just because it’s better to be safe than sorry? Let us know what you think in the comments section!
