On February 18, WWE submitted filings for “Tristan Angels” and ““Dorian Van Dux,” both tied to entertainment services related to professional wrestling. While no talent has been officially linked to either name, filings like these are typically an early step before a new persona appears on screen.
The description attached to both trademarks covers WWE’s usual scope — live wrestling performances, broadcasts, online content, and fan engagement — indicating the names are being secured for active use rather than just placeholders.
WWE has consistently used trademark filings as a way to lock in ring names ahead of time, whether for NXT prospects, incoming signees, or established Superstars undergoing a rebrand. That makes these two names especially interesting, as they don’t match anyone currently on the roster.
