WWE is wasting no time capitalizing on breakout performances—Oba Femi, Sol Ruca, and Joe Hendry are now on the fast track to the main roster following their standout moments at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, all three NXT stars received overwhelmingly positive reactions from the larger live audience—enough to shift internal plans at WWE HQ.
“Joe Hendry and Sol Ruca, they’re all on the list,” Meltzer confirmed. “I don’t know when Sol Ruca’s coming, but number one, they put her over Bayley.”
The reception from the broader WWE fanbase—not just the NXT faithful—reportedly opened a lot of eyes backstage. That momentum is now being converted into main roster movement.
“I was told on the Sunday right after that show that all of those guys, when they got over… Oba Femi is too, even though he’s the champion right now. They see Oba Femi as a major main eventer.”
While these call-ups were always in the cards, Meltzer revealed that it was the crossover appeal of these talents during the John Cena–headlined live event that really sealed the deal.
“The key was that when they got over to the ‘real’ audience, to the large audience that watched John Cena, it sped everything up. All those guys were going to be up anyway, but there’s a perception that, ‘Well, they’re big in their little bowl.’ But when you see them on the big bowl and they’re really over, that changed a lot of opinions real fast.”
This wave of call-ups follows Trick Williams’ main roster move and comes amid talk that Je’Von Evans may soon hit free agency. It’s clear WWE is keeping close tabs on who’s ready to break out beyond the NXT bubble—and these three just proved they’re built for primetime.
