Weeks after WWE held its European tryout at the UK Performance Center, some participants are finally starting to hear back — and it looks like Spanish standout Zozaya is on WWE’s radar.

According to Fightful Select’s Corey Brennan, WWE has shown “significant interest” in signing Zozaya after his standout performance at the March 29 tryout in London.

Brennan noted that Zozaya, who has been making waves in the UK indie scene with appearances in PROGRESS Wrestling and RevPro, is currently finishing up university in June. Sources close to the Spanish talent believe that if he does sign with WWE, he will officially join the company by September.

While some talent received feedback following WrestleMania and early May, the overall process has been slow. No official signings have been announced yet, but the buzz around Zozaya suggests that he could be one of the first names WWE snatches up from the European tryouts.

Aside from Zozaya, other notable names at the tryout included Rhio, Goldenboy Santos, Man Like DeReiss, Luke Jacobs, and Bionic from Gladiators. WWE’s interest in international talent continues to grow, and with the company expanding its global footprint, more names could soon be joining NXT UK or other WWE brands.

As the company continues to expand its global reach, could Zozaya be the next breakout star to make waves in WWE? Stay tuned, because the next few months could bring some major shake-ups to the roster.

Do you think Zozaya is the right pick for WWE’s next European signing, or should they focus on other standout talent from the tryouts? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
