WWE may have officially revealed the full WrestleMania 42 card—but there’s already a twist behind the scenes as they are expected to announce another match soon.

After ESPN rolled out both Night 1 and Night 2 cards on April 7, 2026, it looked like the entire show was set in stone. But according to a new update from BodySlam.net, that’s not the full story. Sources say a match between IYO SKY and Asuka is still tentatively planned—despite not being announced at all.

That’s where things get interesting. WWE already packed the weekend with major title matches, celebrity crossover moments, and marquee main events. On paper, there’s no obvious room left. But this report suggests the company may still be holding something back—or hasn’t fully locked the final structure internally.

And if this match does get added, it’s not just filler. IYO SKY vs. Asuka is a high-level bout with serious credibility, and dropping it late could be a calculated move to shake up expectations right before the show. Considering the fact that SKY called out Asuka for a WrestleMania match after the April 6 WWE RAW, it makes sense.

Right now, the official card still stands as announced—Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton, Seth Rollins vs. GUNTHER, and CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns leading the charge. But this update makes it clear: even with everything revealed, WWE might not be done yet. WrestleMania 42 looks set—but it might not be complete.

Do you think WWE is holding Iyo Sky vs. Asuka as a late surprise, or should it have been part of the official announcement from the start? Drop your thoughts and feedback below.
