WWE launched Elimination Chamber as a standalone event on February 21, 2010, at Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri. The event is built around the Elimination Chamber match, where WWE Superstars compete inside the enclosed steel structure for championship gold or major title opportunities.

WWE Elimination Chamber 2026 took place on Saturday, February 28, at United Center in Chicago, Illinois. WWE announced that the event marked its first Premium Live Event at the United Center in more than 30 years. Randy Orton and Rhea Ripley won their respective Elimination Chamber matches to earn title matches at WrestleMania 42.
