WWE just dropped the official trailer for its latest documentary—and it’s a throwback to one of the wildest, most chaotic shows in WrestleMania history.
On Wednesday morning, the company gave fans a first look at “WrestleMania IX: Becoming a Spectacle”, a new special set to premiere on Peacock next Friday, April 11, 2025. And yes, it’s all about that over-the-top Las Vegas show from 1993—the one with togas, elephants, and one of the strangest endings in Mania history.
The trailer teases rare, never-before-seen footage from WWE’s vault, bringing fans behind the curtain of the “World’s Largest Toga Party” at Caesars Palace. The documentary promises to show it all—from the chaos outside the venue to the drama inside the ring—with WWE legends recounting every wild moment.
According to WWE, “WrestleMania IX: Becoming a Spectacle” will include commentary from icons like Bret Hart, Hulk Hogan, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake, Rikishi, Papa Shango, the Steiner Brothers, Lex Luger, Natalya, Ted DiBiase, Kofi Kingston, and more. It also features voices from WWE and Caesars Palace execs, directors, broadcasters, and archivists, offering a rare look at how this historic spectacle came together.
This new doc is dropping just one week before WrestleMania 41 takes over Las Vegas—bringing WWE full circle more than 30 years later. WrestleMania 41 will stream live on Peacock on April 19 and 20 at 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT.
If you’ve ever wanted to know what really went down at WrestleMania IX—elephants, drama, and last-minute decisions included—this trailer makes it clear: you’re in for a ride.
