WWE’s WrestleMania 42 plans for the Intercontinental Championship just got more interesting — because a new update suggests Je’Von Evans could be part of the mix.

During a Self Made Session on March 17, 2026, new details emerged about Evans’ expected direction heading into WrestleMania. When asked directly about his status for the show, Self Made Pro reported that WWE has already been looking to get Evans onto the WrestleMania card, with the direction pointing toward a multi-man Intercontinental Championship match.

“I was told they wanted to get him on the card in an Intercontinental Title multi-man match weeks ago.”

That lines up with the current expectation that WWE will once again stack the Intercontinental Title match with multiple competitors — similar to last year — instead of going with a singles bout.

Right now, Penta is holding the championship after recent wins over Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano, and with challengers already building, the match is shaping up to be a crowded one. Evans being added into the mix only increases the stakes and gives the bout another rising name to watch.

On the March 16 edition of Raw, Evans turned down an attempt by Kofi Kingston and Grayson Waller to recruit him, making it clear he’s not heading into a faction storyline — and instead could be positioned for a major WrestleMania match.

With WrestleMania 42 just weeks away, the Intercontinental Championship match is looking like one of the most loaded bouts on the card — and Evans could be right in the center of it. If these plans hold, this won’t just be about Penta defending his title — it could be a breakout opportunity for Evans on the Grandest Stage of Them All.

Do you think Je’Von Evans should be part of the Intercontinental Championship match at WrestleMania 42, or would you rather see a one-on-one title defense instead? Let us know your thoughts and leave your feedback.
