WWE could be preparing to give its women’s division one of the biggest stages it has ever had at WrestleMania.

According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, discussions within WWE creative include the possibility of booking more women’s matches on the WrestleMania card than ever before. The report suggests that multiple matches are already planned, with the potential for an additional bout depending on how the final weeks of storytelling play out. While discussing WrestleMania planning, WrestleVotes revealed that several women’s matches are already firmly penciled into the show.

“There is currently an idea within WWE creative that would see up to six women’s matches make the WrestleMania card, with five of those considered firm plans as we stand.”

If WWE ultimately moves forward with six matches, it would mark the most women’s bouts ever featured at a single WrestleMania event. The current record came at WrestleMania 36, which featured five women’s matches when including the Liv Morgan vs. Natalya kickoff match.

“That would of course be a new record for a single WrestleMania, topping WrestleMania 36 which featured five women’s matches if you include the Liv Morgan vs Natalya kickoff match.”

The hosts also discussed why such a move would make sense given the current depth of WWE’s women’s roster. Over the past several years, the division has grown significantly with new signings, rising stars, and an increased focus on tag teams and storyline development. TC noted that the women’s division has played a major role in weekly WWE programming, which could naturally lead to a larger WrestleMania presence.

“The women have been the workhorses of WWE over the last couple of years.”

He also pointed out that WWE now has enough talent and storylines to support a larger number of women’s matches on the biggest show of the year. TC added that the division’s prominence on television continues to grow.

“They’ve added a lot of free agents, they’ve added women to the roster, tag teams have been emphasized as well, so there’s a lot more room now for women to have a bigger platform in WWE.”

“There’s been a lot of emphasis on the women’s storylines and the programming. A big portion of the weekly programming on RAW and SmackDown has been women’s matches.”

WrestleMania’s two-night format has also created more space on the card compared to earlier years, making it easier for WWE to feature more matches across multiple divisions. With several weeks still remaining before the event, the final number of women’s matches could still change depending on how the remaining storylines develop.

If WWE does move forward with six matches, it would represent one of the most significant WrestleMania spotlights the women’s division has received in the company’s history.
