The WWE Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event is fast approaching since it’s set to take place on March 1 at Toronto’s Rogers Centre, formerly known as the SkyDome. So far, only two matches have been officially announced, but it appears that a major title bout could still be added to the card.

During a recent episode of Live Q&A on Backstage Pass, WrestleVotes talked about the possibility of Shinsuke Nakamura defending his championship at the event. While the opponent remains unknown, there have been rumblings that Nakamura could have a title match at the SkyDome.

“I’ve heard rumblings of a Shinsuke Nakamura title defense. Don’t know the opponent, but that’s one that I’ve heard could take place at the SkyDome.”

Nakamura won the United States Championship by defeating LA Knight at WWE Survivor Series last year. He later retained the title by disqualification in a rematch on the January 10 episode of SmackDown.

With the Toronto event coming up soon, WWE may announce The King of Strong Style’s next challenger in the near future. As his title reign continues, fans are waiting to see if he can retain the championship or if someone else will beat him for the title.

After all, quite a few fans feel Nakamura should have been featured more on television as the United States Champion and a match at Elimination Chamber would definitely help Nakamura build up the United States Title’s prestige.
