WWE may be preparing to flip Trick Williams into a babyface much sooner than expected, as internal discussions have intensified following his explosive connection with fans on the main roster.

Trick Williams was originally brought up from NXT and positioned as a heel, but that plan may already be changing. His reactions from live crowds have reportedly exceeded expectations, forcing WWE Creative to rethink his trajectory just weeks into his run.

During WrestleVotes Radio, Joey Votes revealed that WWE is actively discussing a shift in his character direction due to the strength of his fan support.

“Sources indicate WWE Creative is already considering altering Trick Williams direction just a few months into his main roster run. There's a strong sentiment he's connecting with the crowd in a major way and thus should be positioned as a top level babyface. We're told that discussions also took place prior to his call up, when the decision was then made to present them as a heel. Now, just weeks later, internal talks have resurfaced about moving him to the babyface side.”

This wasn’t entirely unexpected behind the scenes. WWE sources reportedly saw early signs that Trick Williams was connecting with fans at a level few performers achieve so quickly. TC explained that his popularity was already undeniable during his NXT appearances in major arenas.

“When he was making his way up from NXT, you know, when NXT did their rare events in arenas, he was the most over guy on the entire roster. Loudest chants, loudest singing ‘Whoop That Trick’ from bell to bell, from the front door to the back door, blowing the roof off every place that Trick Williams walked into.”

Despite knowing how strong his connection was with audiences, WWE still introduced him as a heel, which may have been done to let his popularity grow organically. However, the reaction he’s receiving now has accelerated discussions about making him a full-fledged babyface sooner rather than later. TC noted that Trick Williams has already proven himself in the eyes of both fans and WWE decision-makers.

“Sometimes when you come in and you're a babyface from the get go, you kind of have to earn the right to be that babyface and I think that Trick Williams has done that.”

With WrestleMania approaching and creative plans still evolving due to injuries and shifting storylines, Trick Williams could be in line for a significant push. WWE has a history of adjusting plans based on crowd reactions, and Trick Williams appears to be forcing their hand through sheer popularity.

If WWE pulls the trigger on this babyface turn, it could immediately position Trick Williams as one of the company’s fastest-rising stars and potentially put him in a major spotlight moment on the WrestleMania stage.
