Jey Uso’s Royal Rumble win had social media divided, with critics questioning whether he was the right choice to headline WrestleMania 41. But while some fans were voicing their complaints online, WWE had a different take—and they let the footage do the talking.
On February 3, WWE’s social media accounts posted a video showing fans leaving Lucas Oil Stadium after the event, and instead of outrage, it was nothing but “Yeet” chants and celebrations.
One fan hyped up Uso’s victory, looking straight into the camera and yelling, “Next world champ!” Another excitedly shouted, “I got the glasses!” referencing Uso’s signature shades. But the majority of fans in the clip were simply fired up, screaming “Yeet” in unison as they left the venue.
It’s a clear statement from WWE that, despite online negativity, the crowd reaction in Indianapolis told a different story. And if the company is willing to post footage like this, it’s safe to say they’re doubling down on Jey Uso as their guy heading into WrestleMania.
Jey Uso might have haters online, but WWE is making it clear where they stand—with the fans who were chanting “Yeet” all the way out of the building. Whether you love it or hate it, Uso is heading to WrestleMania 41 to face GUNTHER, and WWE isn’t shying away from the spotlight on him.
