R-Truth’s exit from WWE has truly shocked the pro wrestling business, but fans also couldn’t believe the fact that WWE didn’t want talent to wear Truth’s merchandise on Raw this week. Unsurprisingly, WWE has now been called out for the same.

While speaking on Lucha Libre Online, Hugo Savinovich called out WWE for not allowing talent to wear R-Truth merchandise on RAW this week, questioning why there was no tribute or proper sendoff for him.

Savinovich stated that wrestlers feel nervous and afraid to speak freely because they think WWE or TKO might be watching everything. The whole situation is making the work environment hostile. Savinovich pointed out that while no one could wear anything to honor R-Truth, Judgment Day was allowed to pay tribute to Carlito.

Liv Morgan had Carlito’s name on her boot, and Dominik Mysterio wore a shirt referencing him. So he asked why the Judgment Day was allowed to pay tribute to Carlito while no one could do anything for R-Truth.

“Why not give R-Truth a proper sendoff? Why no tribute? Why pretend he never existed? It’s as R-Truth never mattered. And that sends a bad message. Truth wasn’t allowed to be honored publicly—but Carlito was. That deepens the anxiety backstage. It’s now a hostile work environment.

People are afraid to speak, to even have casual conversations, because they don’t know if TKO or WWE is monitoring everything. The way it was told to us is that no talent was allowed to appear on that episode of RAW wearing anything in tribute to R-Truth.

However—and listen closely—Judgment Day was allowed to do it. Liv Morgan had Carlito’s name on her boot. Dominik wore a shirt referencing Carlito.

So the question is: why was Judgment Day allowed to pay tribute to Carlito, but no one was allowed to do anything for R-Truth?”

Savinovich added that this unfair treatment is upsetting people backstage. Wrestlers and fans are noticing that R-Truth was ignored, while Carlito was celebrated, and it doesn’t sit well with anyone.

“This situation is getting really heated because people see that inconsistency and it doesn’t sit well—especially when both of these men were beloved, respected, and still active. It’s like they just erased R-Truth from existence, while allowing others to honor Carlito. And people notice. The locker room notices. The fans notice.”

We have previously reported that WWE didn’t want talent to wear R-Truth merchandise since it wasn’t in WWE’s best interest to have any mention of a Superstar who is no longer with the company.

Regardless, we’ll have to see what’s next in store for R-Truth, especially since TNA’s Head of Talent Relations has already reached out and told him to get in touch. No matter what, it’s clear Truth has a lot of options and fans can’t wait to see what he will do next.
