The opening match of WWE NXT No Mercy between Josh Briggs and Je’Von Evans featured more than just in-ring action—it also included a surprising production error on the broadcast. When the lower third graphic displaying the commentary team appeared, one name didn’t match the face on screen.

The graphic listed Vic Joseph, Booker T, Kelly Kincaid, and Mike Rome, but above Kelly Kincaid’s name was the image of former WWE ring announcer Samantha Irvin. The mix-up quickly caught the attention of fans watching live, who were quick to point out the mistake on social media.

Irvin actually left WWE in 2024 after giving notice to the company. She was replaced by Lilian Garcia, who returned to fill the role. Currently, WWE’s ring announcing team consists of Alicia Taylor on Raw, Mark Nash on SmackDown, and Mike Rome for NXT.

It was a slip that WWE didn’t mean to happen, but it definitely caught fans’ attention. Seeing Samantha Irvin’s face pop up during NXT No Mercy even though she left the company in 2024 was one of those live-TV hiccups that makes you do a double take.
