Brock Lesnar’s shocking return at SummerSlam had WWE moving fast to cash in with new merchandise — but the rollout came with an embarrassing slip-up.

While Lesnar’s new t-shirts hit the WWE Fanatics store instantly of his post-main event attack on John Cena, fans visiting his merch page were met with a surprising sight: the top banner didn’t show Brock Lesnar at all. Instead, it featured Cody Rhodes’ image, stats, and name, making it look like Lesnar’s page was actually promoting Rhodes.

The shirts and items themselves were all Lesnar’s, but the header graphic was completely wrong. WWE’s Fanatics-powered shop usually features a custom banner for each Superstar, so the mix-up stood out immediately to fans looking to grab Beast Incarnate gear after his surprise comeback.

It’s unclear if this was a simple backend error or a rushed upload mistake, but it’s an awkward blunder for a company known for its tight branding — especially when tied to one of the most talked-about returns of the year.
