WWE has officially added a new name to its developmental pipeline, as Jariel Rivera has been announced as the latest WWE ID prospect.
The announcement was made on February 27, 2026, through the official WWE ID social media account. WWE confirmed that Rivera earned his contract after being scouted at recent independent wrestling events.
“BREAKING…. @theJarielRivera has earned a WWE ID contract! Rivera was ID’d tonight at @ChaoticWrestlin. Rivera was also scouted at @WrestlingOpen. Congrats to Jariel Rivera as he begins his journey as a WWE ID prospect!”
The WWE ID program is designed to identify and develop rising independent wrestling talent, giving prospects a direct pathway toward eventually joining WWE’s developmental system. Being awarded a WWE ID contract signals that WWE sees significant potential in Rivera as a future star.
Rivera also reacted to the news, reflecting on the journey that led him to this opportunity. He noted that he had returned to the ring after suffering a serious knee injury that sidelined him for an extended period.
“OFFICIALLY WWE ID’d — September 2024: Cleared and returned to in-ring action in Watertown after shattering my knee and was sidelined.”
His comeback and continued performances on the independent scene ultimately helped him earn WWE’s attention and secure his place in the program.
With WWE continuing to expand its talent scouting efforts through initiatives like WWE ID, Rivera now joins a growing group of prospects aiming to develop their skills and potentially earn a future spot in NXT and beyond.
