WWE has stacked the March 27 episode of WWE SmackDown — and the biggest developments could come outside the matches.

Set to take place at PPG Paints Arena, the show will feature fallout from last week’s chaotic ending, along with major appearances that could shape the road to WrestleMania 42.

One of the major focuses will be Randy Orton, who is confirmed for the show after laying out Cody Rhodes two weeks ago and taking out Matt Cardona last week. WWE is teasing “who will he attack next?” — signaling that Orton’s recent run of destruction is far from over.

At the same time, Nick Aldis is set to address the aftermath of the shocking brawl between Jacob Fatu and Drew McIntyre, which ended with both men crashing off a steel structure. With their status still unclear, Aldis’ update could determine what happens next for them.

The in-ring lineup is just as loaded. Giulia will defend the WWE Women’s United States Championship against Tiffany Stratton, while a major tag match will see Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair team up to face The Bella Twins.

Elsewhere, Kit Wilson goes one-on-one with Jelly Roll, adding a crossover element to the card. And if that wasn’t enough, Cody Rhodes is also set to return — his first appearance since being taken out by Orton — which could set up a direct confrontation between the two.

With multiple storylines colliding and key updates expected, this episode of SmackDown is shaping up to have major implications heading into WrestleMania season.
