WWE SmackDown’s March 27 episode took over the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This is only a couple of weeks away from WrestleMania, and we have a new title match.

Sami Zayn didn’t think he had a match at WrestleMania this week when he walked into SmackDown. All that changed when he won the United States Title.

This week’s SmackDown saw Sami Zayn accept Carmelo Hayes’ US Open Challenge. In the end, Trick Williams accidentally helped Sami win the title from Hayes.

After that, Sami Zayn approached SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis backstage. He asked Aldis about his WrestleMania status once again, and Nick had a different story. The SmackDown GM revealed that Sami Zayn has a WrestleMania match now.

Sami Zayn will defend his new US Title against Trick Williams at WrestleMania. The Underdog from the Underground was very happy to hear this.

With Carmelo Hayes seemingly out of the picture, only time will tell if he finds his way back into things. At this point, at least we know what Zayn has a Mania match.
