WWE Accused of Abusing Chad Gable After Dangerous Spot on 5/26 RAW

The May 26th edition of Monday Night Raw saw Chad Gable get put through the wringer and this included a very scary spot where he was dropped on his neck. In light of everything Gable went through, WWE has now been accused of abusing Chad Gale.

While speaking on the Stevie Richards Show, Stevie Richards talked about a dangerous spot during the Money in the Bank qualifying match with Chad Gable, Penta, and Dragon Lee where Gable was dropped on his neck after a botched piledriver and gory special spot. He was really worried about how Gable landed, saying it looked like he could have broken his neck.

Richards explained that falling like that is exactly how people break the C1 bone in their neck. Even trying to protect yourself by tucking your chin might not help in a fall like that. He said it could have caused a very serious spinal injury.

“What’s he trying to do? Kill Chad Gable. Oh my God. Look at this.
That is a broken neck. I’m saying, this guy—he has a strong neck. Plus what? You see what I mean? Oh, back—the exact way he landed is the way you break your C1. Tucking the chin prevents… you might still break your neck. But this here is a severed spinal cord injury. Hitting back like that—you’re not meant to do that.”

Richards said Chad Gable is the toughest wrestler right now but asked why WWE keeps putting him through so much abuse. He said Gable is being pushed too hard, getting put in dangerous situations, and still being made to do more. Richards compared him to Kurt Angle, saying Gable is just as good, very entertaining, and in great shape. Gable always gives his best and makes the most out of everything he’s given.

However, Richards said that even though Gable works so hard, WWE keeps hurting and abusing him, like forcing him take a punch and bump from AJ Styles backstage after already being hurt. He said if this keeps up, WWE might even make Gable do something silly next, like wearing a wig and a dress, showing that they’re not treating him with the respect he deserves.

I’m telling you, Chad Gable is the toughest guy in the world right now. They’re just trying—what are they doing to this guy? He’s every bit of what Kurt Angle was—entertainment-wise, work-rate-wise. He’s shredded beyond belief. He gives everything they give him—he scores a touchdown with it. He’s so entertaining. But this is just—he gets abused. He’s legitimately injured. Then in the back, they force him to take a punch and a bump from AJ Styles. Next thing you know, he’s going to be wearing a wig and a dress.”

We have previously reported that Chad Gable was physically fine after getting busted open during the match. Regardless, fans hope Chad Gable doesn’t have to go through so much punishment and risk injury every single week, as they just want Gable to be healthy for as long as possible.
