WWE 2K26 is getting a major gameplay overhaul—and fans who love chaos and customization are in for a treat.
According to a new report from Mike Straw of Insider Gaming on January 18, 2026, this year’s installment is adding even more destruction and customization, starting with stackable tables. The new feature won’t require manual adjustment, which should make for smoother—and crazier—table spots.
“They’re adding stackable tables, and you won’t have to manually manipulate the tables to do that, because that would be a negative,” Straw noted.
The carnage doesn’t stop there. WWE 2K26 is also introducing a shopping cart as a usable weapon, letting players channel full-on hardcore energy in backstage brawls or extreme rules matches: “They’re also adding a shopping cart that you can use.”
Straw also revealed a major quality-of-life upgrade for creators—double the number of Create-a-Superstar slots. That’s huge news for community creators, modders, and anyone looking to expand their universe mode with a massive custom roster. That’s not all as WWE 2K26 will feature an improved reversal system, which should make gameplay feel tighter and more strategic compared to previous entries.
“From what I have in front of me… an improved reversal system, and double the number of Create-a-Superstar slots. That’s where things stand right now in terms of gameplay,” Straw added.
These updates come just days after Insider Gaming revealed four new match types coming to WWE 2K26—I Quit, Inferno, 3 Stages of Hell, and the debut of the Dumpster Match—plus the return of Intergender Matches in all modes, including MyFACTION.
With these gameplay enhancements now confirmed, WWE 2K26 is shaping up to be the most chaotic, customizable, and content-heavy game in the franchise yet—even before the trailer drops.
