WWE Hall of Famer may have just spilled the release date for WWE 2K26 — and it’s coming sooner than you think.
While 2K Games has already confirmed both an Attitude Era Edition and a Monday Night War Edition of the game, the official launch date had remained under wraps. That changed thanks to Alundra Blayze, the woman who once tossed the WWF Women’s Title in a trash can live on WCW Nitro, helping ignite the Monday Night Wars in the first place.
The former WWF Women’s Champion — also known as Madusa in WCW — responded to a teaser trailer for the game and may have accidentally let the timeline slip.
“Well, look at this! I’m excited for this,” she tweeted. “However, I think they should’ve had my Face on there and not Bischoff’s. I mean, then there’s a woman on both sides. I’m having fun, people… I believe pre-orders start at the end of January and an official launch around March. Thank you for the opportunity. Can’t wait to see what they have inside.”
Blayze’s tweet lines up with the typical spring launch strategy for the franchise. Last year, WWE 2K23 dropped on March 14 across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC platforms — perfectly timed for WrestleMania season.
If Blayze is right and pre-orders are set to launch at the end of January, fans won’t have to wait long for 2K to confirm things officially.
Aside from the release window, speculation continues to swirl about what’s in the game. Reports suggest that Showcase Mode will return — and this year’s spotlight might belong to none other than CM Punk, who rejoined WWE in late 2023.
A March release would give 2K the perfect runway to capitalize on the momentum of WrestleMania 42, possibly making WWE 2K26 one of the most anticipated entries in the series yet.
