WrestleMania 42 Tickets Slashed 25% After Reports of Slow Sales

WrestleMania 42 just took an unexpected turn — and this time it’s about ticket prices.

Earlier this week, it was reported that WWE held a multi-department meeting on February 11, 2026 to address disappointing ticket sales for WrestleMania 42 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Initial reports from WrestleVotes Radio stated that WWE was planning to keep ticket pricing unchanged despite slower-than-expected movement.

That plan didn’t last long. Allegiant Stadium has now launched a limited-time weekend sale offering 25% off WrestleMania 42 tickets, signaling a clear shift in strategy. The stadium promoted the discount directly on social media with a public code for fans.

The sale comes just days after it was said that pricing would remain steady “for the time being,” raising questions about how concerned WWE and its partners are about current ticket distribution numbers.

According to WrestleTix data, roughly 36,000 tickets have been distributed per night for WrestleMania 42 so far. That trails last year’s pace by approximately 10,000 tickets per night at the same point in the build to WrestleMania 41, which eventually reached between 56,000 and 60,000 distributed per night.

The ticket sale isn’t the only thing in flux. Dave Meltzer reported that creative plans for WrestleMania 42 are also being revisited due to the ticket situation and internal disagreements.

“The decline in ticket sales was said to be the reason the entire card is being evaluated, combined with many in creative having different opinions on direction. There was frustration because they had a game plan in place, and it was then changed to a new game plan, and now we could and likely will have other changes.”

He also noted that at least one person involved believes constant pivots could do more harm than good.

“One person involved noted that at this point they really should be sticking to the plans because the plans are good.”

While top matches such as Roman Reigns vs. CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship are still expected to headline Night 2, the broader WrestleMania 42 card appears to be under review behind the scenes.

Now, with a public 25% discount in play just after reports of stable pricing, the optics have shifted. Whether this move sparks a late surge in sales remains to be seen — but it clearly shows adjustments are happening faster than initially suggested.
