Willow Nightingale is opening up about a serious health issue that took place right after AEW Revolution— and she’s not sugarcoating any of it.

The AEW star took to Twitter to reveal that shortly after AEW Revolution last month, she suffered a dramatic allergic reaction that left her dealing with full-body hives and welts. The update came as a surprise, especially since she’s continued appearing on TV while managing the aftermath. She explained exactly what happened and how it’s still affecting her.

“last month, I had a dramatic allergic reaction shortly after the last PPV and experienced some full body hives/welts. They’ve gone down since, but I deal with hyperpigmentation, so now I’m just working on evening out the splotchiness that’s been left behind.”

Nightingale followed that up by being real about the long-term impact — making it clear this isn’t something that disappears overnight, especially when you’re constantly on camera: “I’m sure it’s something that’ll be apparent for months, but 🤷🏽‍♀️ sometimes there’s just no way to hide the stuff you don’t want people to see on TV. That’s real life bayBEEEEEE”

She didn’t just describe it — she showed it. In additional tweets, Nightingale shared photos documenting how intense the reaction was, with hives spreading across her face, stomach, arms, legs, and more. She explained the progression as things got worse before finally improving.

“This is from the day it popped up. And it had worsened a bit in the following days before it got better, but hey! we’re in the up and up!”

This gives a rare look at what professional wrestlers sometimes deal with behind the scenes — especially when it comes to health issues that can’t just be hidden or worked around.

Despite how serious it looked, Nightingale made it clear she’s on the mend — even if the recovery process is still ongoing. Bottom line — Willow Nightingale went through a rough situation, didn’t hide it, and is now pushing forward while dealing with the aftermath.
