Willie Mack had fans thinking he might be done with AEW, but he quickly stepped in to clear things up himself.
The confusion started after Mack posted a frustrated message on social media that made it sound like he was unhappy with his situation. The post spread fast online, with some people assuming it meant he had left the company. Mack first shared a message that hinted at frustration over his role and opportunities.
“When ya boy is about to become a homeless superhero because the booker doesn’t think he’s worth the money.”
He followed that up with another post explaining how difficult things have been behind the scenes over the last couple of years.
“It’s like for 2 years straight I’d call every week and ask if you got anything for me? You signed right? You still getting paid right? I want to Wrestle.”
Those messages quickly led to speculation that Mack was no longer with AEW. But when he saw reports claiming he had left the company, he responded directly and shut it down in the simplest way possible.
“Wrong. Still there.”
Even though he remains under contract, Mack hasn’t been heavily featured on AEW television. Most of his matches have taken place under the ROH banner, and his limited appearances have been noticeable to fans who expected to see more of him. Right now, the message is clear — Willie Mack hasn’t left AEW, but his frustration about getting opportunities has definitely caught people’s attention.
