Will Ospreay is known for throwing his body on the line every time he steps in the ring, but the AEW star has opened up about the reality of dealing with the physical grind behind the scenes—and it turns out his recovery routine is part professional, part personal.

Speaking to Bleacher Report, Ospreay didn’t hold back when talking about how he handles the pain that comes with his physically demanding style. While he credited AEW’s medical staff, he also gave fans a cheeky peek into what helps him bounce back once he’s home in England.

“I come home to England, I get the wife to put some baby oil over me and just rub me down, just like what any other normal boy wants out of life,” Ospreay joked.

Still, it’s not just his wife keeping him going. AEW’s behind-the-scenes team makes sure he’s taken care of, especially with his hectic schedule. “We’ve got a great medical team backstage at AEW. I do feel like they put me on priority quite a lot because they do realize that my travel schedule is quite insane.”

That travel-heavy grind means he has to stay on top of his health or risk falling behind. “They get angry when I don’t show in the trainer’s room. I appreciate every single one of them that looks after me.”

Known as “The Billy Goat,” Ospreay’s schedule is packed with international commitments and hard-hitting matches, which makes the support system around him all the more critical.
