Will Ospreay made it clear that even with a major role in AEW, he has no plans to relocate to the United States.
Speaking on the Wrestling Brain podcast, Ospreay explained that his decision is rooted in family concerns and personal comfort rather than career demands. During the conversation, Ospreay said that many people expected him to move to America once his career reached this level, but he never felt that was the right move for his life.
“I'm still living in the United Kingdom as well, which is unheard of because everybody everybody said that you have to move to America. Not me.”
He went on to explain that his biggest concern involves his son and the uncertainty of moving into a school system he doesn’t fully understand. That hesitation played a major role in his decision to stay in England.
“If I was to uproot his life and then take him to America, like I don't — it doesn't sit right with me… I don't know what that system looks like and it intimidates me.”
Ospreay also admitted that anxiety plays a part in his thinking, saying he feels more comfortable staying somewhere familiar where he understands how daily life works.
His comments show that even at the highest level of wrestling, family stability can outweigh career convenience. Staying in the United Kingdom allows him to balance his responsibilities as both a performer and a parent.
