Saraya is single, loving her freedom, and staying far away from dating apps.

On a new episode of her Rulebreakers podcast, the AEW star opened up about why she refuses to join the online dating scene—and based on her reasoning, don’t expect her to change her mind anytime soon. She admitted she once browsed the exclusive celebrity dating app Raya, but only through her makeup artist’s account—and she didn’t like what she saw.

“I wouldn’t go on an app — I will never be on an app. You know what? Zach, my makeup guy — he’s on Raya. It’s like a celebrity kind of dating app… So I switched it just to be nosy, just to see who’s around. Slim pickings. So I’m like, this isn’t worth it — the fish ain’t gay.”

Even with the promise of matching with fellow celebs, Saraya found the platform lacking. And since users can hide their profiles, she felt the whole setup was too secretive and disingenuous.

“On Raya you can hide your profile… but then I’m like, everyone’s probably hiding their profiles, especially celebrities. They’re probably hiding their profile, and if they like someone, that’s when you can appear to them because you can like theirs.”

She mentioned that people suggested Facebook Dating or eHarmony as more “serious” options, but she shot those down too.

“Apparently it’s pretty decent — but still, I will not be on a dating app, because I just feel like… I don’t know. Hook up. Yeah, that’s kind of how Tinder and stuff is, I guess. I just won’t go on a dating app, and it’s nothing against people that are on there — it’s perfectly fine.”

Saraya also got personal when she explained why dating apps could open the door to the wrong kind of attention, especially because of her past scandals.

“Because of my tapes and stuff like that, people think I’m a certain way. So if I’m on a dating app, people screenshot that, post it. I don’t think it’s that big a deal — yeah, I overthink it. And I think it’s good to overthink those things sometimes.”

Instead of apps, she says she’ll keep it old-school and meet people in real life.

“So I’d rather not be on a dating app and find people organically — because I’m old, and that’s how we used to do it.”

For now, Saraya’s not looking for love through swipes and DMs. She’s staying in her lane and letting whatever happens—happen face-to-face.
